CareNest is operated by NSR WEB. NSR WEB is the data controller for the personal data processed through CareNest, meaning we decide how and why it is used.
Data we collect and why
- Account data (name, email, password credentials) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Family content you enter (children's names, ages, schedules, routines, meals, notes, care logs, supply lists, and parent-entered care information such as allergies and emergency contacts) — to provide the Service and share it with the family members you invite. Legal basis: contract performance and, for sensitive details, your consent, which you may withdraw by deleting that information.
- Caregiver invitations (invitee name and email) — to let invited caregivers join your family. Legal basis: legitimate interests / contract.
- Usage and device data (feature events, IP address, browser and device identifiers) — for security, fraud prevention and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: contract / legitimate interests.
Card details are collected directly by our payment processor, Stripe, and are never stored by us.
Who we share data with
- Members of your own family and caregivers you invite, within CareNest.
- Service providers that host and operate the app (cloud hosting, database, email).
- Stripe, our payment processor, for payments, subscription management, tax calculation and invoicing.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
- Authorities, where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data. Some providers may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. After you close your account, we delete or anonymise it within 90 days, except where we must keep records longer by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under Brazil's LGPD, the GDPR, and U.S. state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email support@carenest.app. We respond within 30 days.
Children's information
CareNest is used by parents and caregivers, not by children. Information about children is entered by their parent, who controls who can see it.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls that keep each family's data separate, and restricted staff access.
Cookies
We use only essential storage needed to keep you signed in and the app working. We do not use advertising cookies.
